The Great Exhale

A Four-Day Nervous System Sanctuary

Søsætra - Norway -16 - 20 February 2027

Somewhere in the deep Norwegian forest, there is a place where the body remembers how to let go.

The forest itself holds something most of our lives do not: genuine, undemanding stillness. And in that stillness, something in us finally exhales.

The Great Exhale is an invitation into that.

Four days in the heart of SØSETRA, a place so quietly magnificent, so alive with the particular grace of winter trees and cold air and firelight, that something in the body begins to soften the moment you arrive.

We gather in circle, in beauty, in the kind of spaciousness that most of us have forgotten we are allowed to inhabit. We move slowly. We eat well. We are witnessed without performance. We are held without agenda.

This is a sanctuary for your nervous system. And an initiation into a different quality of presence, one that begins the moment you arrive.

If something in you already knows this is for you - you don't need to read further. Simply follow that knowing.

You move through your days with grace and capability. You hold space beautifully for the people in your life. And somewhere underneath all of that, quietly, persistently, there is a part of you that is longing to be on the receiving end of that same quality of care.

What if, for four days, the only thing required of you was to be here?

What if you allowed yourself to be genuinely, softly, completely held?

We want to see you receive, and feel equally received, in all the ways you dream of.

Perhaps you recognise something here.

Each day is emergent and intentional. We honour rhythm, not rigidity.

Meals anchor our time together, long, unhurried, nourishing, created with care and served around a shared table. These lingering moments around a table with likeminded women, eating food made for you with love and deep care, are where something relaxes that you didn't even know was still holding on.

Between those anchors, the field opens. What we move through will include:

  • Morning meditation or visualisations with oil annointing, meeting the body exactly where it is

  • Restorative yoga and somatic practices, woven through each day as a gentle recurring invitation to come home to yourself

  • Meditations and guided stillness as a practice of return

  • Sacred circle where we witness eachother in the full honest truth of where we actually are

  • Aroma Point Therapy, the heart of our practice together (see below)

  • Time in the winter forest when the body wants to move. Rest when it wants stillness. We follow what is true as it emerges.

This is a living retreat. We follow the thread of what is alive, in the group, in your body, in the collective field.

What wants to move will move. What wants to be seen will rise.

Just arrive, and we'll meet you there.

What these four days hold

Aroma Point Therapy is the heart of our practice together

At the centre of The Great Exhale is a practice that has profoundly shaped both of us personally, and that we have been studying and living together for years: Aroma Point Therapy.

This is a simple yet deeply potent practice of applying specific essential oils to specific acupuncture points on the body. Each oil carries its own energetic and emotional signature, its own inner nature and frequency. Each point connects to pathways within the nervous system and the energetic body. When thoughtfully combined, they create shifts that are subtle and simultaneously profound, moving through the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual planes in a way that very few practices can reach.

In the retreat container, we work with the oils as plant allies as living intelligences to be listened to. They help recalibrate energetic boundaries, gently release what is ready to move, and reweave the inner landscape with more safety, trust, and coherence. Women consistently describe experiencing a quality of remembrance through this work, as though something essential that had gone quiet inside them begins to speak again.

Over the four days together, this practice becomes something more than a technique. It becomes a language. A way of listening to your body and responding with genuine care. And it is one you will carry home with you, long after the forest has released you back into your life.

The container Gro and Claire hold together

Last February, thirteen women gathered with us in this forest, and the field did what it does when it is held with love, presence, and real intention. It gave people back to themselves.

We are returning because we want to. Because something in that week was so genuinely alive that we couldn't imagine not doing it again. And because there are women we haven't met yet who are ready for exactly this.

Gro brings depth, embodied presence, and a quality of stillness that creates safety for the most tender and true parts of a woman to emerge. Having lived her own complete journey through disconnection, through healing, through the profound return to her own body and inner knowing, she holds this space from the inside out, not as someone who has studied this territory, but as someone who has walked, and still walks, every part of it.

Claire brings grounded, practical, activating energy, clarity, precision, and a dynamic presence that moves things forward. With her background in nursing and years of working energetically and holistically with the body, she offers a foundation of safety and skill that allows the deeper work to unfold with confidence.

Together we create a container that balances depth and practicality, stillness and activation, safety and genuine transformation. Women feel it the moment they walk through the door.

What women carried home from our last retreat together

Thank you for such a heartwarming experience. I really so much needed that processing time where being just yourself in an emerging togetherness is normal and welcomed. I met so many inspiring women, had a laugh, great talks, great food, cool sauna and cold dips. Loved all the amazing oils, protocols, meditations, heart ritual and your presence. thank you thank you thank you

Thank you so much for a wonderful retreat. You guided us through everything in such a beautiful and gentle way. Thank you for seeing each person’s individual needs and allowing each of us to be exactly where we are in our own journey. I felt seen, met, and held, and I have gained so much from these days. The way you work together is so beautiful and calming. The setting here at Søsætra is incredible. I would gladly come back.

Thank you so much! For the opportunity to receive such beautiful nourishment for body, mind, and soul in this fantastic retreat space. There has been such a lovely balance between activity and reflection, contemplation and rest. The meditations, the oils, and the music were like balm for the soul, bringing up memories and things I thought I was finished with.

Thank you Gro and Claire for holding such a safe and caring space for this journey with warmth and empathy.

Thank you so much for holding such beautiful space for us. I have felt safe and held, but also free to be me and to go at my own pace. I came here with a hope of slowing down and nourishing my nervous system. But I have experienced so much more than this.

You feel what others don't say.

You walk into a room and know the atmosphere before a word is spoken. You sense the unspoken grief at the dinner table, the tension underneath the laughter, the thing nobody is naming but everyone is carrying.

You may have spent much of your life wondering why you find it so hard to leave a conversation without carrying something home with you — something that isn't quite yours, but has somehow become your responsibility to hold.

You are spiritually open and curious. You have done real inner work. And still — there are days when you cannot quite locate where you end and everyone else begins.

Is any of this familiar?

And do you long for:

  • Spaciousness that is real

  • Beauty that nourishes the soul

  • Sisterhood that goes beneath the surface level

  • Four days where the only thing required of you is to be here, fully, softly, completely here.

Then this retreat was made for you.

Do you recognise yourself here?

A note from Gro & Claire

We come to this work as women who have lived it from the inside. We are as much students as we are guides. As much in the journey as we are holding it. And that is precisely why this space feels the way it does because nothing here is performed, and nothing is manufactured. It is real, it is alive, and it is held with our whole hearts.

We would love for you to be one of the women who will join us in the forest this February.

Spaces are limited to 20 women. Questions are welcome, reach out to us directly and we will be glad to connect with you.
